Captions for 2010 Pictures

I was having too much trouble writing under the pictures after I posted them all, so I'm adding captions separately.

1. Tamir's parents came to visit us in Dec. 2009 and Jan. 2010. They had never seen America or Alli and Joseph! The kids adore them.

2. Joseph's 2nd birthday!

3. We took the family to Medieval Times as we'll probably never live 10 minutes from one again. It was fun and much better dressed up.

4. I fulfilled a childhood dream by going to see the American Girl store in downtown Chicago. I learned that childhood dreams are better fulfilled in childhood and not while suffering from morning sickness. Still cool, though. P.S.-Just found out there's now a store in Dallas. But getting to bring my friend Tinka with us to the Chicago AG store was worth braving horrendous traffic and the pregnancy nausea!

5. Alli's 4th birthday party with Chicago friends. Four-year-olds dressed up as princesses and dancing to Disney songs are fun.

6. Mary with her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. McSheffrey, on kindergarten graduation day. We love Mrs. McSheffrey and are so grateful Mary was in her class.

7. The kids playing at a rest stop on the way to Texas. Coincidentally, my family stopped at the rest stop across the freeway on our move from Texas to Illinois in 1995.

8. Playing in the pool at the hotel in Little Rock. There hadn't been any pool weather yet in Illinois, so this was fun!

9. If your state were as cool as Texas, it would have giant freestanding cutout monuments to itself at entry rest stops, too.

10. Enjoying some of the rare Texas rain (at least it's been rare since we've been here).

11. Second first day of kindergarten!

12. Mary lost her first two teeth! She ate one of them at dinner, and the other fell out at school, which she loved because the nurse gave her a tooth locket to carry her tooth home in.

13. Mary's 6th birthday!

14. Our Labor Day picnic in the back of our van. We couldn't find a state park of some kind with covered tables.

15. Labor Day by one of Texas's many man-made reservoirs.

16. Alli giving Mary and Joseph (and stuffed animals) a puppet show.

17. Joseph wanted to wear this ultrasmall Tigger costume for Halloween. I think he looks "ridikerous" in it.

18. Halloween 2010. Celebrated at the biggest church trunk-or-treat I've ever seen!

19. My belly with 3.5 weeks left. Due date December 5. We'll see when she actually comes.

New House

Sorry that we are not good posters. I think the last post was Thanksgiving time. We've had some requests for pictures of the new house we are in process of closing on in Allen (north Dallas suburb), Texas. Yay for no more renting!
